![]() ![]() ![]() I tried running a virus scan but nothing was found.Īfter an afternoon/evening of troubleshooting, I decided to do a reset (the one which keeps my files) and it only seemed to fix performance marginally.Ĭertain symptoms include weird refreshes/flashes, very slow app and interface graphics "loading" or rendering, and essentially what I can best describe as a lot of system lag, almost like the operating system and all applications are trying to function while still loading at the same time. Looked to task manager and closed everything I could, which helped very little. First thing I did was close every chrome tab I could and any other program. Yesterday when I tried using it in the morning, I noticed it was extremely slow. It almost seemed to "give up" although I know I'm personifying a lot there. Also starting roughly 4 months ago I noticed the system started to not be able to use the "recognize your face to login" feature as reliably regardless of lighting condition. Starting this past fall it seemed to completely shut itself down if it got lower than 60% battery, but as I mostly used it plugged aside from hour stretches or so, in this wasn't a large issue and seemed to happen less in the last several months. Before yesterday I've only minor issues, at least from my perspective. I've had my Surface Pro since the summer of 2017. Preemptively want to apologise for not having the best computer vocabulary, but hopefully I have explained/described things well enough for someone to provide at least some idea of what's happened.
